Often described as an art and a science, nursing is a profession that embraces dedicated people with varied interests, strengths, and passions because of the many opportunities the profession offers. The mission of the Emergency Nurses Association is to advocate for patient safety and excellence in the emergency nursing practice.
In South Dakota, the emergency nurse deals with diversity of work settings, ethnic background, and resources. South Dakota ENA strives to connect the emergency room nurses across the state through education, leadership and fellowship. As the motto of SD says “Great Faces. Great Places.” This too, is what you would find in the emergency rooms across our state.
